French Quarter residents voted in a “Quarter of a Penny” sales tax to fund a State Police troop to patrol the French Quarter. As many of you may recall, French Quarter Citizens was a staunch supporter of the sales tax, as were the many residents who voted for it. Because you voted to pass the ¼ of a penny sales tax, we have our very own State Police Patrol – “Troop N” that patrols the French Quarter exclusively.
Troop N works hand-in-hand with NOPD to fight crime in the French Quarter. To keep you all abreast of the impact Troop N is having in the French Quarter, FQC will periodically send out updates on Troop N’s enforcement activities so that you can stay informed.
